| | discouraging cats Although I have come up with various ideas to stop my neighbours cats from removing all life forms from my garden (birds, mice etc), and some of these ideas would probably result in prosecution if I actually went through with them, I was wondering if anyone had some 'friendly' guaranteed methods for preventing these indiscriminate hunters from practising their techniques in my garden. I have tried sonic devises but these become ineffective and a bit costly with constantly replacing batteries...
Any ideas? |

| | | Re: discouraging cats I find a well directed jet of cold water gets rid of the brutes. You can buy automatic water squirting devices with a motion sensor so you don't have to jump up and go outside every five minutes. Remember to switch it off when you go out though... |

Someone is going to say, 'Get a dog.'!
My questions is, how do you deter dogs entering from your garden? |

I don't mind cats. I have also have no problems with cat owners that don't give a toss over the wildlife they kill, but I take issue with the hypocritical owners that claim to 'love' wildlife, but keep cats that are allowed to predate them, and come on this site wringing their hands and sniveling about it! (They'll start coming out of the woodwork here soon!)
