Is there a legal limit to the number of dogs a professional dog walker can have with them at any one time.

Just doing a quick search, I think it varies dpeending on where you are, several councils seem to limit it to 4.
Will do a bit more searching though

Wandsworth and I think Kensington & Chelsea in London officially restrict it to 4, but we still see more in our local park. 
The 1,2,3,4 makes me laugh

Yeah, had a chuckle at that poster myself. Four seems to be the consensus on an informal non-enforceable level. We're having issues at work with a few pro's who have anything up to 9 dogs per person, most of whom are off lead.

I regularly see a pack of 50 fox hounds being take to a field with one person in charge and none of them on a lead how would one man stop them chasing after any thing they saw as game on

If the dogs are out of control or causing problems, it may be worthwhile contacting your local authority Dog warden. They could advise on whether professional dog-walkers should have some kind of insurance cover in case of injury to someone, or property damage, caused by a dog in their care.

How do you know they are Professional dog walkers, there is no law as far as I know on owning and walking as many dog
as you like I often see the farmers wife walking 5 or 6 dogs of the lead and they ain't friendly either.
Then there is another bloke who has 4 huskies they are kept on the lead and they are a handful when they see another dog.
