| | | WIld animal interactions of the happy kind im just lost for words YouTube - Polar bear & Husky (animals at play)
Its truly amazing how supposed natural enemies can interact like this. If you watched the video with sound you will have heard this kind of behavior has reportedly been sighted by others involving Wolves and Grizzlies.
There is a video somewhere on youtube that i have seen in the past with a wolf playing with a grizzly, whilst looking for this video i found this one. YouTube - Wolf bites bear on bum
These animals are not wild and i appologies for the irritating bloke talking but it is quite ffunny watching these animals interact. 1.26 |

Grizzly bears and wolves are known to eat each others cubs and fight each other over food yet they have also been documented playing with each other. I suspect its the same with arctic wolves and other more northerly wolf species interacting with polar bears. I guess the polar bear just viewed the husky the same way it would have viewed a wolf. |

| | | Re: Wild animal interactions of the happy kind Unless of course there is a balance there that they are aware of, ie the might size of the bear and a pack of dogs? So they reach a sort of stale mate and therefore interact cautiously. I'm probably talking rubbish but I find animal behaviour interesting....moreso than humans infact.

| | | Re: WIld animal interactions of the happy kind When we had guinea pigs grazing on the lawn, magpies often used to go behind them and peck them on their backside. The guinea pig would then run away a little. It looked like mischievousness, but I then noticed the magpies would inspect where the guinea pigs were grazing. I concluded that the magpies were after any food the guinea pigs might be eating.

| | | Re: WIld animal interactions of the happy kind Not wild animals but interesting to see at the time. I once had two little bitches. When we acquired a 6-week old kitten one of the bitches promptly came into milk and fed the kitten. She came into milk twice a year thereafter and the cat got stuck in. Yet when we got a puppy he was banned from the milk bar! Even when Ishtar had pups of her own the cat was allowed to share the bounty. Catlet was once attacked by a feral moggy. I loosed Ishtar and she beat the living daylights out of the feral. Ric
