| | | Simon King's Wildlife Whisperer - Website Advice? Hey There,
(Admin feel free to move this if it is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put this topic)
I just wondered if anybody had joined 'Simon King's Wildlife Whisperer' website at Wildlife Whisperer and what they thought of it/could they offer any opinions?
I am thinking of signing up but don't want to pay £30 if it isn't much good.
Cheers, Rob |

Cheers, Rob | Looks like a rip off to me,there's nothing of interest on offer that is not already available for nowt elsewhere on the internet.
Such a site could be easily funded by ads and sponsership. Its first priority must obviously be profit. Educational interest could just as well be served by the BBC Natural History and other web sites, such as WAB and WATW,and many others. |

| | | Re: Simon King's Wildlife Whisperer - Website Advice? Personally, I do like the idea of that access to the video guides. I'd like to see a list though. The things I'm interested in might not be featured.
On the downside, it sounds very exclusive. I'm not one for 'exclusive little clubs', which is how the WW appears to me, at first glance.
I've signed up (for free). No doubt they will try and sell me stuff. I hope that they can convince me that it is good value, as the potential is there. But I only tend to join societies that work towards biodiversity and the like. So they'll have an up hill struggle with me.

| | | Re: Simon King's Wildlife Whisperer - Website Advice? Have just been watching the webcams and they're really good! well apart from the fact that I went for a cup of tea and missed the male leave the box and then went upstairs and missed the female leave after him !! (though I an still hear her hissing begging call somewhere out in the dark).
Love webcams - wish I could get them on the telly!

| | | Re: Simon King's Wildlife Whisperer - Website Advice? Simon King is oner of the Media Naturalists thatI really admire. So on simply the strength of that - I'd think it must have some merit - especially for children , because they are more likelyto be intersted in / and less cynical that adults - in something from the media. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
