| | | Fox bites woman's finger off Well here we go again. I was walking through Brighton this morning when I saw a poster outside a newsagent's with the above headline.
"NHS worker Tammy Page told how the animal lunged at her after a stand off in the middle of the night. "
Blah blah blah. She appears to have lost the tip of one finger, an injury so serious as to have required one butterfly stitch. She said "It was a young
fox, maybe a year old, but it was mangy and crazy looking." Then we get more nonsense about her poor likkle poody tats, and she finishes by stating that she was standing between the fox and its escape route so they had a "confrontation." Now, I know that we avoid abusive language on WAB. But was it really so difficult for this stupid bitch to get out of the way?
Google Brighton Argus for more.
As some of you know, I shoot foxes in some circumstances. I also find the climate of demonisation of foxes very disturbing.

Sigh.

| | | Re: Fox bites woman's finger off you know after all the hype and media garbage I'm surprised that someone somewhere hasn't decided that foxes are to be classified as 'man-killers' They do get an opportunity to develop a taste for the flesh.
I am only joking, honest.
the silly woman was probably trying to coax the fox to stroke it. People do dafter things... bears and kids comes to mind.

| | | Re: Fox bites woman's finger off The only info I could find online about this was on The Sun website Fox bites off woman's finger | The Sun |News - no surprises there then! (The subsequent viewer’s comments made for much better reading!).
The closest story I could find on the Brighton Argus website was ‘Worthing Boxer attacked by cows’!!!!
...but then this was yesterday's 'news'! |

| | | Re: Fox bites woman's finger off In fairness, I have just noticed the leader comment in the Argus. " the incident . . .should not act as a red flag for people to begin persecuting wild life that lives near their homes."
Whether the wild life take it as a red flag to begin persecuting people who live near their homes is of course a different question.
