| | | Unusual visitor on my bird feeder We caught this cheeky woodmouse flinging himself up the wall to get at the bird feeder, he stayed there for ages and wasn't the least bit frighted that we were inches away. |

| | | Re: Unusual visitor on my bird feeder In the past I've often seen Wood Mice on my feeders. Once I had a Brown Rat climbing up the birch to a peanut feeder + had to move the feeder away. |

| | | Re: Unusual visitor on my bird feeder I've seen one on a feeder too, infact .... there were some in the shed earlier in the year .... where someone (mentioning no names!) left some sunflower hearts around
I've always known them as field mice, why are they known as both ? |

I wonder if there are any mountaineering mice round by me, be interesting to find out how high yours is of the ground?

Your feeder is very high TN. How on earth do you maintain it?

This one is put in place with the woodpecker in mind as it does visit the bird feeders in the garden but was quite twitchy as it possibly felt a bit vulnerable being so low down. I put one high up on the telegraph pole especially for him, even though the GT's, BT's, Starlings and Robin still go to it.
As for refilling, involves getting the ladder out the shed everytime, it's no hassle really.
