| | Fox poo In the very cold weather, I have left out food for the local fox. In the morning the food is gone with a 'thankyou' poo in the bowl. Is it just the fox marking territory? it is a bit annoying as I have to clean the bowl every day |

| | | Re: Fox poo Generally it is territorial marking yes. Do you have to use a bowl? Saves clearing it up off the grass or a path I suppose.

| | | Re: Fox poo Hi lemur,
welcome to WAB. As others have said it is a territorial marker. Foxes often mark kill remains to ascribe ownership and will also mark novel/conspicuous objects in their territory (a bowl in the middle of the lawn probably fits that criteria!).
Cheers,
Marc.

Marc. | Yes, next doors garden gnome very often has ownership poo on its hat. My neighbour isn't usually amused....but I am!
