If you and others wish to debate issues of philosophy perhaps a separate thread in the rambling section of the 'Treehouse' would be more appropriate.

(Schedule 1 Licence holder for Kingfishers, Barn Owls and Avocets) | I may not be a wild philosopher but I can get a bit feral on occasion! Fair comment Jeff. It is only too easy to get off thread, especially when one picks up on something in the original that was said en passant. If Sheffield Lass or indeed Pressld, wants to continue elsewhere I'm up for it.
Now I'm gettin' outa here . . .

And by the way, I'm sorry if my use of the term "..would-be 'philosophers'.."
offended you but it was based on my belief that merely being a student of philosophy doesn't necessarily make one a philosopher but may well indicate a desire to be one - hence "would-be"
Now I'm gettin' outa here too

| | | Re: Cambridge reccomendation? Batty idea. They are looking only at the relationship between diameter and circumference of a circle. Area of a circle, volume of a sphere, surface area of a sphere, volume of a hypersphere . . . all ignored. End of term silly buggers.
