I may not be a wild philosopher but I can get a bit feral on occasion! Fair comment Jeff. It is only too easy to get off thread, especially when one picks up on something in the original that was said en passant. If Sheffield Lass or indeed Pressld, wants to continue elsewhere I'm up for it.

offended you but it was based on my belief that merely being a student of philosophy doesn't necessarily make one a philosopher but may well indicate a desire to be one - hence "would-be"

Batty idea. They are looking only at the relationship between diameter and circumference of a circle. Area of a circle, volume of a sphere, surface area of a sphere, volume of a hypersphere . . . all ignored. End of term silly buggers.
