Spot on - how about it Dean, fancy explaining how you took all those shots without disturbing any seals ? (and if you managed it why suppose neil and dave didnt).

The presumed fact that your shots were taken before LWT requested people stay off the beach is irrelevant - it was because (in part) of people photographing seals on the beach that they issued that warning - so how is your behaviour different to that you are condeming dave and neil for (except that they may have been further away and therefore less likely to disturb any seals !)

and if theres "NO EXCUSE FOR GOING ONTO THE BEACH" what were you doing there in january this year ?

I agree that theres no excuse for disturbing the seals, but theres no evidence that either dave or neil (or you for that matter) did - I'm quite happy to believe that you are a responsible photographer so why are you not willing to give dave and neil the same degree of respect ?

As to the thread closure aspect, one has to respect dave for not using his mod powers to end this unseemly (and imo unjustified) attack on his and neils reputations - but I would suggest that an uninvolved mod do just that as the thread is doing no credit to the site.

(and by the way in case anyone was thinking of accusing me of equal hypocrisy the beach seal shots in my Gallery were taken at blakeney from a boat and the seals werent disturbed in anyway)

I'm not at all happy that this thread even exists on the site. It appears to be nothing more than a personal attack on two valuable and proven responsible contributors to WAB and other sites.
Knowing Dave I fully support his actions and know he has nothing to be ashamed of.
I could say on heck of a lot more, but to stop this now pointless argument going further than it already has, I'm the one closing the thread.
