| | | Bold as brass A thread about robins got thinking the other day about animals I have come across that are bold as brass (seem to care not if your there are not).
Last summer when I was out walk with the family at local nature park, out of the blue a group of stoats 2 adults and 3 young I think cut across are path no more than ten metres away and seem not to care we where there.
Another time about 6 years ago I was sitting in my van haveing lunch (a pie) and in jumps a pigeon eating up the crumbs on my dashboard with not a care in the world.
Have any other wab members have examples of animals being bold.

| | | Re: Bold as brass Yes, years ago my partner found a vole in the grass while we were sitting on a sunny bank, not sure what kind of vole but it was quite a big one, and it was super tame, didn't show any distress at all. It was quite happy to be picked up and ate some of my sandwich while sitting on my lap. It didn't even try to run away, just sat there nibbling away. Lovely. |

| | | Re: Bold as brass Ha ha ha, you two! It was neither a guinea pig nor a corgi!
Actually, I'm sure that I have heard that there is a certain vole type that is friendly/docile? |

| | | Re: Bold as brass Early last year we were fishing at Loch Ken in the borders and this little vole kept running out from a piece of concrete and eating crumbs dropped from our ground bait. We started feeding it some of our sandwiches and before long it had lost all fear and would come right into our bivvy to eat. Similar situation with a wood mouse when fishing at my local quarry. It would jump into the groundbait box and help itself to it right under our noses
*edit. Couple of pics of said cheeky vole. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1794550_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6064426_n.jpg
