The Changing Garden

I had noticed that alterations to my garden have changed the type of visitors.
Some of the changes have lost me the odd tree-creeper and woodpecker but
gained me goldfinches,sparrows and sparrowhawk
The biggest draw is the pond with its short "stream" which brings in many creatures
to bathe or drink I think it must be the sound which attracts them,the relatively new
hedge harbours insects and the small raised bank with its low drystone wall will I hope
bring in bumble bees it already plays host to field mice
Not bad for a house between two main roads
