| | | Re: unidentified animal poop Ignoring the poo for a second - your newts will be leaving the ponds anyway at this time of year - if they haven't already gone. So it is possible that the poo depositer has nothing to do with the newts.
In our little garden pond the newts chase each other around in May, lay, chill out, then gradually disappear. We now have about half a dozen babies and one female who seems to be hanging around a bit later than usual. |

Does it seem like its loose bits inside a see-through sack ? (Try squishing/prodding it)
