I'm sure most of us have lots of wildlife guides, but I found the Collins Nature Guides at a National Trust property yesterday.
They do use photos rather than drawings for the illustrations which can be a drawback, but at the moment, instead of £8.99 (which I would have thought twice about), the NT are selling them for £2.99, which I reckon is not bad.

They aren't the best books, but at that price definitely a bargain. I think it's good to have a book with hand drawn illustrations, but to have a photo guide as well for identifying anything you aren't 100% sure of from your notes or looking at the drawings. |

That price sounds too good to e true
I would be inclined to check the edition date and check with Amazon. You may well find a new edition has just come out or is about to. |
