Very effective and you don't have to worry about 'retreating' it with several cuts. Doesn't solve the problem of seed coming in from upstream on river courses, but it is much more sensible than chemicals and machinery to tackle an annual.

Adam | in small areas you would be absolutely right - but for big areas its just not practical , it would take a group weeks to clear the ammount that can be brushcut or sprayed in a day.
