Books about wildlife in Greece

Hi,

Hope no one minds me posting this, as it's not related to wildlife in Britain, but I hope someone can help.

My mother goes to Greece fairly often, and is looking for a book that she can bring with her as a general wildlife guide, something along the lines of the Collins 'Complete British Wildlife'. She wants a generalist book, as it would be too much to carry a bird book, plant book, invert book etc etc.

Does anyone know of such a book published in English?

I couldn't find one when I went earlier this year. Sadly, based on what ai saw in Kefalonia, the greeks arn't interested in their wildlife

A quick look on Amazon shows several books on birdwatching in Greece. Couldn't see any general wildlife books , but two author to look out for are George Sikas (birds) and Gerald Durrel of 'My family and other Animals,' fame.

I ended up buying Collins 'Complete Mediterranean Wildlife' which will of course not be complete, but be fairly useful nonetheless.
