| | | Unknown chews Does anyone know of an animal that might selectivity feed on bluebell leafs ? At first when I saw it I thought it was badgers which are near but I have not seen them feed on it near setts in other woods. I know there are hares in this wood but not in great numbers and its bugging me as to what is grazing here. Could it be the favourite grass of a particular deer ? |

| | | Re: Unknown chews If it was in my garden, then i would put it down to the dog as he eats just about anything including daffodil stems and Rasberry Canes much to my annoyance.
I would tend to think you could be right about deer, their favorite food in my area seems to be Roses but i think then do eat most things.

| | | Re: Unknown chews After a fair amount of googling I can see your right. I could not find info on this behaviour at first, I was not using the right search criteria. I was hoping it was sign's of a particular deer and it does look like it. Thanks so much for your help folks. |

| | | Re: Unknown chews Don't know about bluebells, but something would appear to be selectively grazing cuckoo pint spathes here. Almost certainly not deer. I have read that the spathes are attractive to rodents; anyone out there know of this behaviour? |

Ian | Hi Ian, be careful with your dog, 'cos when one of mine went to the vets with apparant poisoning (Just saved her, luckily) the vet asked if she could have eaten daffodil bulbs, ...Posie.. |
