| | | Wild Scotland I have just watched the first part of a new series on STV called 'WILD SCOTLAND'. It started at 8.00pm tonight..
Most of the filming was on Islay and featured amazing close-up photography of whales, seals, under water creatures and several species of birds. Throughout the hour long programme a family of otters was filmed through the 'four seasons' of the year.
Certainly one of the best 'nature programmes' I've seen on TV and was worth watching.
If you missed it or it wasn't available in your area it might be possible to see it on ITV Player.

| | | Re: Wild Scotland I was out and didn't know it was on. I wish I'd known, I would really have loved to have seen this. I really ought to check the tv guide. Sounds like it was an amazing watch I'll have to make sure I don't miss the next episode.

It was only by luck I spotted it in the TV Programme Guide.

| | | Re: Wild Scotland Watched the second episode on STV Tuesday (16th) and again found it to be excellent. One hour of continual photography and narration on 'wildlife'. No diversions or silly 'chit chat'.
This week's programme was filmed around the sands and waters of the Ythan Estuary, North of Aberdeen.
Certainly one of the best nature programmes I have ever seen on TV.
Also some of the best nature photography to have been shown on TV, IMHO.
The range of wildlife featured in the sand, water and surrounding area was fantastic.
Definitely worth watching!
Two episodes to go on the next two Tuesday Evenings.

| | | Re: Wild Scotland Saw this listed on the Radio Times website. Tuesday's episode is apparently Simon King's Rannoch the Red Deer. From the clips I've seen of it, it's very much 'one to watch'. Living in the south, it's frustrating that we get all the regional BBC channels, but none of the regional ITV ones on Sky!
Cheers,
Marc. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
