| | The 'Sunny-looking Photos' Thread! Hi all,
This follows on from a recent thread by Lori where she, like all of us I should think, is obviously missing the warmth and sun of Spring/Summer. I thought a good antedote (Sp.?) for her/us would be a thread where we post summery photos - landscapes, sun-based, anything warm-looking, and will hopefully take our minds off the snow and rain.
Could be a nice thread. Here's my first offering
For me, it reminds me of those days feeling 25' with a gentle breeze.
I look forward to seeing yours - feel free to post as many as you wish!
Take care, Jason

| | | Re: The 'Sunny-looking Photos' Thread! Nice idea Jason. Unfortunately posting a warm summery picture would feel a little too hedonistic for me right now. My calendar is sitting here warning me that I should still expect several weeks of cold misery before any sign of a reprieve. But I think that in the light of this week's weather forecast I may throw caution to the wind and dare to post a spring picture. ]
There, done it, and that feels surprisingly good!
(I hope I get away with it )

| | | Re: The 'Sunny-looking Photos' Thread! Great idea for a thread, it's actually quite sunny outside at the moment, and looks quite pretty reflecting off the 3 inches of snow we've had so far this morning!
This is the Green Lochan in Glenmore, a little gem of a lochan that you don't see until you're almost next to it. There's a scientific reason as to why the water is the colour it is, but I prefer local legend which says it's that colour because that's where the Faeries wash their clothes.
The picture was taken almost 5 years in April 2005 and was a gloriously sunny day, we often get a spell of warm, sunny weather in April or May. |

We just seem to have had endless dark, cold times recently.
Here is one I made earlier which reminds me of summer....

This pick was taken in July 2009 and reminds me of summer. Not sure if it has a "sunny" look to it but reminds me of summer.
And whilst looking for the above pic found this one of Axle Lane between Kiveton Park and South Anston taken early July 2009
