| | | Re: What on Earth! Is this recent things or anything? I carnt help but notice someone has uploaded a photo of a 6 spotted-burnet which would be very cold at this time of year . A good idea though this is the sort of thing that gets people interested in wildlife. |

| | | Re: What on Earth! Hi Dan, I`ve just read my email again! It`s 12th - 21st March. Not sure what the burnett moth is doing on there
Here`s another link to the master site British Science Association : National Science and Engineering Week
It`s good that people can get involved by doing things without going far. I`m sure folks will be amazed at just whats there under their noses. I`ve not had a go at the project before but will have a closer look to see whats involved & get the kids out there with us

| | | Re: What on Earth! a very good book that is worth getting is A Guide to Garden Wildlife by Richard Lewington and published by British Wildlife Publishing.
Its about £13 in paperback but money well spent and packed with stunning illustrations of the highest calibre and aslo includes tips on nest boxes, feeding stations, ponds etc. It covers the common Mammals, Birds and Insects found in British Gardens and would be very useful for getting the whole family into what lives is in and around their gardens | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
