| | | Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in trouble We're probably all familiar with the invaluable conservation work done by Gerald Durrell of My Family and Other Animals fame (which by the way, is on BBC4 this Thursday at 23:30) Durrell's legacy continues with the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Jersey.
As a charity, Durrell has been severely impacted by the economic recession. Faced with a significant deficit for 2009 and a worse outlook in 2010, Durrell today is announcing major cost reductions which will include redundancies. Every little helps as they say, if you can make a small donation of even a £1 please do visit their site Durrell Cost Reductions | Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
The donations link is top right on the page.
Thanks
Sheryl |

| | | Re: Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in trouble Thanks for highlighting this Sheryl. My membership application is in the post. I reckon that might be a bit more useful than a one-off donation.
I grew up with Gerral Durrell's books and have visited the Jersey site twice. It would be a tragedy if the Trust did not survive.

Dave P. | Nice one, Dave. Hopefully other people will start to pick up on this thread and lend a hand too. I think membership payments can be made by direct debit at £2.09 a month, that makes it a lot easier on ya pocket. |
