Not exactly wildlife, but when I looked untidy, hair all over the place, etc, my Mum used to say either 'You look as though you've been pulled through a hedge backwards' which is self explanatory, or.....

''You look like the 'wreck of the Hesperus' '' This I have recently found out is a poem by Longfellow, the penultimate verse describes the hair of the captain's daughter as floating like seaweed on the surface..guess she was dead too
It is a nice poem, with a message too..also how the seaman who tried to warn the captain of the oncoming storm, got his warning from looking at the moon...very interesting, and worth knowing...
