when will autumn arrive?

summer plants have regained leaved and have bud up again, the fuchsias are now back out in flower again and the nasturtium seeds have germinated and grown into large plants, frogs and toads are out on the lawn, this is not normal November weather in yorks

We've had frosts, gales, torrential rain, misty days when we're in the cloud all day long and a few crisp cold mornings - sounds just like autumn to me.

The way my other half is complaining about being cold I thought we were in the depths of winter.
Strong winds here at the moment and most of the leaves are now off the trees so I would think we are now in autumn in Norfolk!!

The Hornets' nest is empty of hornets at last, now the little ponies can have their stable back. But more moths than usual in the evenings at the windows.

I know! Still got dahlias flowering, as you say, seeded nasturtiums thriving and non hardy fushias still in flower! All the leaves still on my cherry trees and bulbs starting to show through already. Even had wasps buzzing around the windows this morning, but hedgehogs appear to have gone to hibernation...the seasons have all gone crazy!

This month has been very good in my traps too. I'm gonna end up with the best November totals since records began in 2000. The mild weather we are having must be playing a significant part in this, the same happened earlier in the year with Feb (after all the freezing conditions!) and March both having very good counts

and plenty of wasps still around in the traps too on mild mornings!

That may have been the case 100 years ago i think you can move it on a month these days

Still have fuschias in bud, strawberries, a sunflower has bloomed over the last
couple of days. There is a corn poppy out in the veg patch and a squash on one of the last plants I haven't yet pulled up. The geraniums are in full bloom and I have not yet checked all the garden.
