I think there is a lot of money there, that is why it is a "recreative" activity, it doesnt matter some people are burnt or killed every year. I wonder how these inspectors that are always watching the possible accidents (you see the ridiculous measures as wearing googles to play conkers) and they cannot spot the dangerosity of fireworks. |

one of my cats has HCM (heart disease) last night someone let off a banger near our house and it really frightened him. he is on medication but its a trial as there is no known treatment for his condition that is proven to work. he also has a heart murmur, but this is not as serious at the moment. where as the HCM is only a matter of time.
i mean its the 8th, i bet this goes on for another week at least !

What was that military term - "shock and awe" - if that's worse than the noise over London right now it must be absolutely terrifying. | LOL! Cant believe I wrote that! When sober too. Long day today taking various elderlies to various poppy day stuff followed by dinner with Mum and now rather 'brahms' to say the least but that gaff was hilarious considering the trying day I've had with various octogenarians!
Fireworks still going off tonight and 'my' fox hasn't been in the garden since the day before fireworks night - hope he hasn't bolted under the wheels of a car |

| | | Re: Bonfire Night I jam my letter box closed with a nail as soon as time for the last post has passed. It doesn't take a second and is easily removed first thing next morning. Best to be safe than sorry, as they say. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
