Help needed to identify and animal from its feces

Hi,

Sorry I didn't have something nicer to post but I have been baffled for weeks by the large amount of poo or should I say feces that we found under our upstairs floor boards. I have taken a picture and posted on this site here:

I wondered if it was a rat to start with then realised it doesn't smell and rats have a very distinctive smell and also its not the same shape. I'm a bit worried its a snake as it is quite long and thin a bit like a large worm feces. The pictures make it look grey but thats only saw dust from the wood, its actually black.
Any help would be most appreciated as always

I'm putting my money on a weasel latrine. I saw one in the loft of a two storey house not so long ago and can only think it wass climbing up a creeper to get there.
