| | | Autumnwatch results Autumnwatch has found that everything is out of sync this year by at least a week or two, with most signs of autumn appearing earlier than usual. It doesn't sound like much, but it could have some significant effects later on in the year if foods stocks start to run out for wildlife. http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/ne...s-early-autumn |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch results I wonder how these findings tie in with the overlap of extended flowering of tender plants, for example. Busy Lizzies are still very prolific - having been cut back in some cases they have regenerated and are flowering once more. Same applies to other plants. And although Autumn is evident in some respects here, I noticed whilst travelling through the Yorkshire Wolds this week, that the environment was still very green, with some trees showing little or no inclination to drop leaves. |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch results I don't think these results are right for where I live. We seem to get hardly any autumn at all. I had lots of flowers still in bloom and lots of herbs and plants still growing strongly. And then when the frost came, we seemed to go straight into winter!
Is there a link for the results? |

| | | Re: Autumnwatch results Whereabouts in the UK are you? Different areas seem to have more or even less of a particular season. Add to that micro-climate and it all gets very confusing. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
