Roger (Ollie) and I had a great day to day at Crowle Moor. The weather was just about perfect light-wise, if w wee bit on the warm side.
We were quite pleased when within an hour we'd spotted a Bog Bush Cricket...

But by the end of the day we must have seen, at least, a dozen.
Black Darters were, once again, in profusion and we even had a go at some "inflight" shots of them; though not exactly brilliant, this is the best I got...
We also had a go at Southern Hawkers "inflight" and one ovipositing.....

Here's some that I we need ID-ing...
1. This lovely green beetle
2. These 2 Ichneumon Wasps

3. 2 Spiders

4. A Moth, that had very colourful underwings
5. This Hoverfly that I think may be
Eristalis intricarius
6. Anyone now what caused this gall on this thistle.
Finally, the best "inflight" shot of the day....
which, considering I only had me macro on, aint too bad.
I'm not sure what Roger puts in his coke, but he seems to be developing a propensity to fall into dykes !!!

All in all we had a good, if somewhat, tiring day.
