Thumbs up Turkish Crayfish
Hello, whilst Pike fishing at Beccles today on the River Waveney In Suffolk I caught several Turkish Crayfish Astacus leptodactylus.
I have never recorded them in our Rivers in the 28 years I have been fishing, Does anyone know if anyone is monitoring these Crustaceans?

Hi Colin,

There are Turkish crayfish right up to Bungay. Have seen them by the mill and at Geldeston as well as Beccles. Never seen them before this year but haven't been fishing for a few years.

Hi Welcome to the group, from another Lowestoftian.
I recieved a lot of information from the EA about this species & in the process of writing a paper on this species for British Wildlife Magazine I will use this info if this is ok.
