There are a couple I could live without!! Bothrops was good though. Did fantastic photos. Winnie would be good also. Ah well, time will tell.
For now, I am getting glared at across the top of my comp. so I think the other half wants to eat.
Talk again later.

| | | Re: Springwatch Refugees Hello everyone
Hope you all had a good weekend.
I thought you might like an update on my gang of four (robin babies). One parent still stays pretty close to them when they are out and about but will not feed them. Nevertheless they are all doing well and frequent the table many times daily to help themselves.
Of course there is always one, isn't there? My little opportunist, despite being perfectly able to self-feed, tries it on with any other bird which happens along. Todays attempt was with a juvenile starling - gave me the horrors as I had visions of baby robin permanently impaled on juvenile starling's beak! Luckily juvenile starling seemed as horrified by the idea as I was and vacated the table at a rate of knots.
What is curious is that parent bird is still very purposefully taking food away and I can't decide whether there are yet more in the nest or whether the parent birds are already on "round two" - so to speak. Any suggestions welcome. |

Re the avatar, I notice I can upload a pic from my computer but the instructions mentioned something about (I think) size limitations so does this site automatically adjust the pic to the required size?
