What can I see in the Scottish Borders?

Hi all, we normally holiday on Mull in the summer but at Christmas we stopped in the Scottish Borders near Hawick and Craik forest. We enjoyed it so much that we booked for August. I enjoy watching and taking pictures of wildlife and their seems to be a distinct lack of information on the web with regard to what we can see here.

I would be grateful if any other members have knowledge of wildlife local to the area that they are willing to share.

You are not so far from Kielder Reservoir, so you could go and have a look at the ospreys that have bred there this year. There are also goshawks in the forest too, though spring is best to see them when they are displaying.

Hi Scott, have you checked the "Wild Places" in the reference section of WAB. There are lots of sites in Dumfries & Galloway.
