but its sideways but that's another problem..

Ant ideas on turning images I tried on the computer but it just saves it in this position.. |

The problem with partly rotating an image, is that it crops off trangular sections at all the corners, and you are left with possibly a less than ideal result: -
The only way you can avoid this is if there was a large area of "unwanted" detail in the original photo, around the actual part that you need to save. EDIT - The way you do this is by using the "straighten" tool, in Paintshop Pro, or other similar image editor type software.
