Animal cruelty videos on YouTube - can we all report them?

We can insist they can delete the videos, that they delete the accounts, but it's sickening to think that at this very moment in time there are people out there practicing such barbaric acts. These were by no means the only videos of that nature, and some make the original water vole sequence (that sparked this thread off in the first place) look tame by comparison. I am stunned that Youtube are openly broadcasting such filth.

I dont disagree duchess , but the problem is that youtube is too big to moderate effectively so they rely on flagging by other users - and i guess even then they are overwhelmed by inappropriate stuff of all types

It's pretty obvious that the users of the site cannot abide to the rules though so I think a system where your video is checked before it appears on the site is needed. No doubt there would be alot of complaints though.

However, as Seagull says, it's high time they got it sorted, found an effective way to police the contributions. I am sure it can't be beyond their ability? You Tube is massive; it's a household name now, just as Google is. IMO, it ought to be making more of an effort.

I would like to bring this thread back to light, while checking the footage of those Fox on that trampeline i came some disturbing vidoes. I will not put up the link, but if you can type JAMARENJE into youtube you will see what i mean. Please be aware that they are scense of Bagder digging come baiting and Fox baiting and possibly others.

Some seem like they have been there for a while, i've been told you need to flag/report them. I suppose the more they get flaged the quicker they get around to removing them?

As the badger baiting in the videos is taking place outside the UK, I don't know whether YouTube will consider that the law's being broken, but it's worth making a noise about to see whether they do take action.

I reported the one with a trap door and fox. I didn't like the little that I saw.

Then I found a lot worse. I couldn't find out how to add something. I really want to add something.

I think you'd be better reporting to YouTube, because the kind of people who'd do this stuff to animals and then post it up for others to see might get off on even negative attention.

All these videos seem to have their origin outside the UK so sadly it is not an offence for them to be on youtube but a serious bount of complaining might encourage you tube to take them down and cancel the poster's membership.
If you do find any that appear to be taking place in the UK then please do not get you tube to take them down but DO inform the RSPCA/SSPCA/USPCA (whichever is appropriate) including the url if possible. The law can only be enforced if people report crimes
