Robins have been nesting in my front garden for the past 10 years without any problems up till now. I was chasing a Butterfly when I noticed the branches where the Robins nest is located had been disturbed. On further inspection I found the nest turned upside down which I can only describe in a rough manner, no sign of the 3 chicks or Mum & Dad.
I'm now wondering what to do with the nest, for the time being I have put It on the ground just below where they we're nesting, hoping that Mum & Dad might come back and start all over again, building there second home out of there last home, unless anyone else has a better idea.
I think this was a rather large predator as all the branches of the nesting site had been broken.
