Rotifers


Found under the microscope as I was checking out a moss - it's a Rotifer from the Class Bdelloidea. Fascinating animals. The blurred bits are it's "wheels"

Sorry missed a bit off and I can't edit it for some unknown reason. So I'll try adding it this way.

The "wheels" are the rotating organs covered in fine hairs (cilia) that create the current that carries food into the animals mouth.
