| | | Re: What animal collects daffodil flowers? Latrines are generally found close to water side and on a flat surface. Often Ratty prefers to hide her latrine amongst the undergrowth but generally either in or at the end of a run. Now is the best time to find them as the young are just leaving the nest and the undergrowth hasn't grown. The droppings are generally soft and in piles of at least 6-10, often green!. Often the number is disguised as they trample on the latrine and flatten the older droppings. Look also for mown grass where a Vole has nibbled the grass, listen for a plop when one is disturbed and it dives in the water, check the holes at water level (or below) and look for feeding signs such as a pile of cut vegetation. The last clue are footprints with the front feet leavinga star shape of less than the size of a penny!
Good luck! Heres hoping!
Roy
