| | | Re: Dog walker prosecuted There's no excuse for releasing a dog on nature reserves during the breeding season. These places usually allow dogs, but only on leads and the rules are well posted throughout reserves.

| | | Re: Dog walker prosecuted There was a recent incident in the Bolton area where a being walked off the lead through a community farm savaged a deer. Amazingly, the two women did a runner, leaving the dog behind - so much for being any kind of animal lovers. It is not just the actual cruelty either because the women were walking across the land on a public footpath and should have known that they are not allowed to let a dog roam off the path in the first place.
Another incident at the RSPB's The Lodge reserve had a family in the hide and a small dog busying itself chasing the sheep around outside. Then people wonder why dogs are banned on so many reserves. |
