All very close but the answer is Redshank. From a dead bird found washed up on the edge of Morecambe Bay.
I can see the Woodcock connection though. |

Oh well, I'm rubbish at waders when they're alive, never mind dead ones. Also there's no redshank skull in my book. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it  )
