| | | Snow print ID please Found these in some woods near coalbrookdale:
,
,
,
and finally
I would appreciate the help a lot.
The distance between each one was about 2 foot
On some of the prints the claws are very splayed at the bottom but others are close together.
My first thought was deer but I somehow doubt they will be in an area of woods that small.
Please try to ID these.
Thanks in advance
Jordan

Jordan | difficult to call, are the other pics different to the ones by your hand ?
The ones by your hand look similar to the fore print of a Muntjac which is smaller than the similar Roe Deer.
You should try to get all four prints in the shot then close up of fore and hind. |

| | | Re: Snowprint ID please The first shot shows claw prints, which could be Squirrel and I would guess a small deer for the second.

| | | Re: Snowprint ID please OK thank you guys.
It was probably a squirrel then from what you lot say.
The prints were in different areas they went through scrub and bracken.
I'm a bit confused though because i saw some prints leading towards a branch with a space underneath, there was no prints underneath the branch but on the top where snow had settled there was a patch where the snow had been brushed of like something stepped over over it and knocked of some snow.
The branch was about 1-2 foot of the ground.
A squirrel would of simply have gone underneath wouldn't it ?
Hope i made myself clear thanks for the help.
