Once again the courts fail to impose a sentence that fits the crime - how many protected species do you have to kill to go to jail? It's about time a suspended sentence meant exactly that, suspended from the nearest tree by the neck!

As he now has a criminal record, it should preclude him from holding a shotgun licence or a firearms certificate, which would in effect mean the end of his employment as a gamekeeper, whats the betting that this is not enforced ??? any takers.

Our justice system is laughable - that gamekeeper doesn't get jailed yet a Celtic supporter who ran onto the park during a game got 6 months.

Watch Road Wars on TV. it's comical and sad, young thugs stealing cars, no license, insurance etc. and driving while banned causing thousands of pounds worth of damage getting a few weeks community service.

Well I'm not going to say much on this, last time I mentioned BOP being sytematically killed across britain by gamekeepers on gamebird estates I was acused of being paranoid & that most BoP deaths were by telephone lines, windmills or road kills..

Sickening that he recieved such a lenient verdict

No-one accused you of being paranoid and no-one suggested that 'most BoP deaths were by telephone lines, windmills or road kills'. Both of those statements are untrue.

Actually I think you probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this chap has of getting a firearms or shotgun licence for quite a long time to come.
