Snow also stopped the county championship cricket match (at Buxton) between Lancashire & Derbyshire, on 2nd June 1975.

Went and had a look at my favourite place for daffs near here, the road alongside Pegwell bay by the viking ship. Standing more or less on the same spot looking to the left. 
And looking to the right.

The daffodills are beautiful, they are everywhere, carpets of yellow sigh
seen the queen bumblebees out and about, also a small tortoiseshell butterfly

Saw the first Skylark of 2009 over our field this weekend, was great to see him hovering and twittering away.
Just hope he makes a nice nest in the set-aside area....
