Material excavated from beneath London for Crossrail’s new cross-capital rail link is to be used to create a huge RSPB reserve in Essex at Wallasea Island.
This represents Europe's largest construction project and Europe's biggest coastal habitat creation scheme.
Good news .... and even better, the wildlife reserve is just a few miles away from where I live  .
