Unseasonable Touch Of Summer

HI Wildlife Fans,
It was sunny in Edinburgh this morning and I was working in someones garden which is a bit if a suntrapThere was a large Mahonia bush covered in masses of lovely yellow flowers which were eagerly appreciated by dozons of appearantly healthy Honeybees,Wasps and Beeflies.No Bumbles Bees or Hoverflies unfortunatly. I wouldent say there were swarming but it was nice to see them and it wasent bad for the middle of november.I miss the summer.

Warm and sheltered ivy flowers at this time of year are the same - thronged with bees and wasps - makes you wonder where they have come from and how they manage to still be alive this late in the season - it is nice to see insects........
