| | | What's this snail? I know nothing about snails and usually my only contact with them is when I throw them over the hedge or squish them in the dark. There are literally thousands in my garden - maybe millions. This one caught my eye because it looked like a humbug had landed on my bird table. Is it unusual, and does it have a name?
It's about 3cm long, the shell about 1.5 I guess. That hole is a countersink for a screw. The different colours are because I tried 2 lenses and I cba editing them too much - the first one is probably more accurate.

The brown lipped snail is Cepaea nemoralis
