My little magic discovery of the day. |
Hey Deb, I'm so pleased you resurrected this thread as I've really enjoyed reading all the Magic Moments that people have had.
Fascinating about the hedge, what a lovely bit of history to discover, all the more so because as you say you and no doubt thousands of people will have been past it before and not known that it was so old. There are ruins of old crofts here and I quite often wander around them and try and imagine what they looked like, who lived in them and what their lives must have been like.
One of my magical moments was the first time I saw Golden Eagles close to where I live. I wasn't specifically looking for them but because I was climbing a steep hill I occasionally stopped to look at the view behind me (OK, I was using that as an excuse to catch my breath

) and on about the third stop I saw them, circling and climbing higher and higher. An amazing moment and one I will never forget.
