| | | Yellow eggs or stinging nettle disease? Hi folks,
while walking the in the Cot Valley (Cornwall) just over a week ago, I spotted some yellow 'blobs' on a stinging nettle. Does anyone know what this is? My initial thoughts were either insect (Lepidoptera?) eggs or some kind of disease. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Marc. |

| | | Re: Yellow eggs or stinging nettle disease? Hrm...I thought that it was when I took the photo, but on closer inspection you're right. It looks more like bramble? Apparently, I'm about as good as telling plants apart as I am telling insect eggs from fungus

| | Re: Yellow eggs or stinging nettle disease? Heh, okay, not a bramble then (the leaves just looked bramble/rose-like to me - you can tell I'm a botanist at heart, can't you ). Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
