Strange white stuff! ID help please! :)

Im not sure if i have put this in the right section, but i didnt really know were to put it as i havent a clue what it is lol

My boyfriend found them in a field while he was walking his dog, we hav no idea what it is and hav been looking on google but hav had no joy.
They are powdery and when he opened one up it was like cat meat inside (see pic)
Has anyone seen these before? or know wat it is?!

Cat vomit
Some sort of Slime Mould I imagine one of the fungi guys will know exactly what it is.

Dunno about Cat vomit , but there is a Slime Mould (Fuligo septica) with the common name Dog's Vomit (honestly!) that looks a lot like that.

Fuligo septica is more usually known as Flowers of Tan. The Dog Vomit Fungus (but still a Slime Mould) is Mucilago crustacea, in my book.

This one is Mucilago crustacea, I think.
