| | | What can I see in Scotland I am visiting Scotland next week (6 to 13 September), Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire to be precise and would be grateful if anyone who lives in or has visited that area could give me some pointers as to places to visit say within 20miles of this area, I could travel a little further for something spectacular.
Photographing Insects (not to well as yet) and Bird watching are my main areas of interest but this year I have started to photograph Orchids and other unusual plants, but any wildlife is of interest.
Thanks in anticipation, Ferret |

Maybe on your way there or back home you could do a detour to Loch Ken just north of Castle Douglas in Dumfries & Galloway. They have a Red Kite trail & feeding station there.
Try googling Loch Ken red kites. |

| | | Re: What can I see in Scotland Thanks canny I will try and do that, I have seen quite a few Red Kites but have never been to a feeding station, should get some good photo opportunities there.
Either Wildlife or WaB members must be thin on the ground in that part of Scotland as yours is the only response I have had, any other ideas you may have would be gratefully received thanks again.
