garden sanctuary

Woke up this morning and looked out of the window to see our new pheasant, juvenile jay (not quite right) two squirrels and my cat all sitting together waiting for breakfast.
Can not find my camera either................
The poor jay is being subjected to attacks by the magpies, so far so good, I just hope he has a happy ending.

Wow - were they all sitting there together, being friendly?

I hope you can get a shot of that one day - sounds fascinating.

Re: garden sanctuary

Pheasant was here earlier but managed to snap Jay and squirrel together.
Am quite concerned about the Jay which seems unable to fly and tends to just hop about.
The magpies have their eyes on him.

Re: garden sanctuary

Happily now I am really hoping the Jay has learnt to fly, have not seen him today, so fingers crossed.
He was a sad little Jay and I became quite fond of him.

Re: garden sanctuary

Please keep us updated on the Jay please, Hobble! I have replied to you on your other thread of the Jay! It doesn't look sick just sad doesn't it? Hope it returns to your garden for food and you can give us some good news!
