| | | Re: Buying birdseed online What always worries me with buying online is that I work full time and wonder wether they deliver it and leave it in the garden for you or with someone on your street?
I have elderly neighbors and it'd be pretty unfair to expect them to sign for the huge bags of seed etc and haul them into their own homes for me!
What do you guys find? Do you usually pick it up from the post office if you're not in when they call? |

| | | Re: Buying birdseed online I suspect it's fairly safe to get seed delivered to the front of your house, I can't imagine who would steal this. You can sometimes ask the company to do this in the "special instructions" section when you place your order. But if a signature is required, then they cannot do this.
You could check with the company first.

| I was buying from an online seller who happens to have their
shop 3 miles away. "Wild About Birds", but their website seems down.
Six months ago changed to buying from a local milling and importing
company - good discount for ten bags (have friends with chickens
and horses so easy enough) if I collect.
I see they do mail - order Charnwood Milling - Quality Feed
But comparing one company with another very difficult with the
rapid rise in costs at the moment. |

| | | Re: Buying birdseed online HI All,
Sunflower seed prices are rising at a alarming rate,I get mine from the local agri store and seed merchant and a 12.75 kilo bag was £9.99 last year £13.00 a couple of months ago and this week a bag set me back £14.50.

| | | Re: Buying birdseed online I used to use Wiggly Wrigglers, and they would ask where you wanted it left if not in. Now I get my bird seed at cost + VAT from where I work....so am saving a few pennies. |
