Smile Great news for Welsh Bats

Here is a news item I found this morning! great news!

"Welsh bats are to get a 50,000 pounds helping hand from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Wales is a stronghold for some of Europe's most vulnerable bat species.

There are 15 species of bats in Wales, and populations of all have declined dramatically since 1900 so the Bat Conservation Trust is working hard to ensure bats and their habitats in Wales are protected.

The trust rust has been awarded the money from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a Wales Count Bat, a two year project which will help conserve and record Wales's vulnerable bat population by encouraging a more diverse range of people to get involved in conservation activities."

Re: Great news for Welsh Bats

Bats, sticklebacks, newts, allotments and snow are a few things that aren't around in England anymore.
