| | | A walk by the sea Unfortunately as previously said there were no whales to be seen. I did think of taking a distant photo of Wales...... but I couldn't see that either!
I did see
a junior rock pipit wobbling on top of some sea radish
he flew onto some rocks and I got a better photo
Whilst watching the oystercatcher ( previous thread ) I saw this grass flower gleaming in the sunlight, no idea what it is though.
Then I came across this little patch, how many plants can you see here?
Next I found some bird's foot trefoil, you can see why it got its name.
At this point I started to wonder if there were any Burnett moths about as their young feed on the birds foot trefoil. Then my luck was in I saw one! They might be fairly common in your part of the world but here they are not common.
I think I had a nice time!
sorry about the joke!

| | | Re: A walk by the sea I liked your Joke, Barbara. I am a sucker for puns.
When I lived in Wales, I had a friend who like to sing the hymn line 'And God man great whales' sya no more
Colin
PS I have just returned from Northumberland where we saw lots of rock pipits on the coast - a first for us.
